Hello once again, Internet users. I have to keep this post short because I’m currently in the studio working on making my own band DEERPEOPLE’s album sound good enough that some other random music blogger from some other random state will put a track or two onto their playlist/article and consequently make us famous. (And then the circle will be complete!)
That said, here are some notes about this week’s LI$T:
-
We all know who Arcade Fire is. I’ll let you decide how you feel about their new record for yourself. I thought it was a bit tedious and meandering, but that’s just my opinion.
-
Son Lux’s new album Lanterns is now in the running for a top spot on my albums of the year list. It’s epic, and you should give the thing a proper spin.
-
White Denim is one of the best live bands around these days, and their new album is equally satisfying.
-
The Range put out a quality, thoughtful electronica album. I found it great to listen to while working.
-
The Flaming Lips are from Oklahoma City. I figured I had to include them since they just released a new EP.
Alright, back to working on becoming famous. That’s what life’s all about anyway, right?
