I should be making fewer of these since I have to be the “Managing Editor,” but were I exclusively the “Music Editor” I’d write way more about music. As it is I’ve asked Derek Moore, bassist for both DEERPEOPLE (currently on the “Welcome to Hell” tour) and Limber Limbs (waiting for Derek to return), to take over mixing duties here at OKC.NET. He’ll be doing that for us sometime in August. In the meantime, here’s one of his mixes. All the ones I starred, obviously, I liked. I’ll probably be back to making another mix next week, especially because Soundcloud is accumulating another round of releases. Maybe we’ll call that the “Thunder” or something or other mixtape.
