The Visions of Vargas Art Project was conceived by three local artist from the Paseo Arts District. The show will feature 12 original, black and white photographs featuring hand-colored tinting techniques from the art deco period. Six models, (Reilly Burns , Jenna Rice, Una Kim, Emily Atkinson, Kerry Amanda Myers , and Ally Latham ), posed in the Alberto Vargas pinup-style for the photoshoot where the photographer, Chris Gann , was assisted by a creative director, Brian Dunaway, with a choreographer, Ashtyn Anderson. The photography was carefully lit as to bring the most intimate images of the models. Visions of Vargas will feature live music from local musicians and a selection of catered food and beverages.
The first of the three artist involved is J. Chris Gann. A seasoned photographer for over 25 years, Chris has traveled the country mastering his skills in his life journey of photography. His style works well in all facets of photographic needs. Mr. Gann is the owner of Starving Dog Photography – 970.231.7404/ Ashtyn Anderson is the backbone of this body of creative types. Her master social skills allow her to be the line producer, choreographer, and hand-coloring designer. Her wonderful spirit has made this project something that anyone would appreciate and admire. Ashtyn has been an artist for over 25 years and has superior design skills in all types of media. You will find her work at her gallery, eARThouse. She can be contacted at 405.514.0108/ The third contributing artist is Brian Dunaway. Mr. Dunaway graduated from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. His career has focused on many areas of commercial design. His portfolio will include designs in print, video, and photography. The art show and sale will be hosted at Twisted Root Gallery. The location for Visions of Vargas is fortunate to be at such a prestigious gallery in the Paseo District. The Twisted Root was founded by Adam Shelton. His consignment gallery is in the heart of the Paseo District and has a wide range of art that appeals to everyone. The Visions of Vargas show will begin at 7:00 pm. It will feature the artist with the models who will be available to sign purchases. This show will feature art for sale from 20.00 and up.
