Norman Arts Council is excited to announce that the closing reception for Noise Makers â€” the group exhibition studying the relationship between music and visual art â€” will feature a special acoustic duo performance by Cameron Neal (of Horse Thief) and Josh Hogsett (Tallows), along with electronic artist P L S T K N O V A. The closing reception is planned for 6 to 10 p.m. with live music beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Noise Makers artists Chad Mount and Justin Camilli have creative ties to Horse Thief and Tallows respectively. Chad Mount designed the cover art for Horse Thiefâ€™s debut EP Grow Deep, Grow Wild, while Justin Camilliâ€™s illustration for Tallowsâ€™ debut album Memory Marrow is currently on display as a part of the exhibit. Matt Goad, Denny Schmickle and Aaron Whisner also have work featured in Noise Makers, along with a special audio-visual installation/single premiere from Norman noise pop band Depth & Current.
