Cate le Bon: Hit our radar early last year via a SoundCloud release of “Are You With Me Now,” le Bon’s duet with singer songwriter Perfume Genius. Her album “Mug Museum” was one of our favorites of 2013. Cate le Bon may be Welsh, but her vocal stylings recall the likes of Nico from her Velvet Underground Days. Give her album a listen and see what you think.
Joining her that evening is Kevin Morby. You might recognize him from one of Derek’s LI$Ts. (Cate le Bon is probably on one of those LI$STs too.) Morby’s also in two other bands: the Babies and Woods. (Woods is another band playing Austin Psych Fest, this year, FYI). Check his solo effort “Harlem River.”
