STEP CHILDREN
Why do “Step” Children climb? Because it’s what we do…climbing to the top of every obstacle we face to make ourselves and the world a better place. Perhaps that sounds a bit hokey but there’s truth in it. We are originally a kickball team named the Stepdads. Over the seasons of kickball we have all become quite the family. We are a mixture of upbringings and lifestyles but at the end of the day if one dad is in need then we are all in need. That being said, the ring leader of this team the “Step” Children (appropriately named) is Kasi. She asked us to climb, because she climbed last year as a Lung Champion, who suffers from COPD. When she asked we arose to the occasion to climb for her and for anyone and everyone else that deals with lung/breathing issues on a daily basis. Too often, we take for granted our ability to run, jump, climb (and kick balls in our case) a lot of people are unable to do that.
Please either join us and register for the climb or make a generous donation to the American Lung Association to support our FIGHT FOR AIR.
Thank you for joining this important fight for children with asthma, teens who are pressured to start smoking, people with lung cancer and emphysema, and everyone who wants to breathe healthy air in our communities.
THANKS A TON!

Join us for one of the most unique events in Oklahoma City! On March 29, 2014, hundreds of people will huff and puff their way to the top of the North and South Towers of Leadership Square in Oklahoma City for a great cause. This is more than your same-old 5K. This event is a vertical race to climb a total of 70 floors. Climbers will begin on the North Tower going up 20 and down 20 floors, will race to the South Tower climbing up 15 and down 15 floors finishing at the bottom! Whether climbing for a winning time or simply to cross the finish line, in honor or in memory of someone with lung disease, this event is a great way to challenge yourself physically. We guarantee that all finishers will have a new found respect for healthy lungs!
What are you waiting for? It’s your legs versus the stairs, so breathe in, step up and get ready to experience the climb of your life!
